Hentley Farm The Marl Grenache 2013, Barossa Valley, SA

Hentley Farm The Marl Grenache 2013 Barossa Valley South Australia Simple Palates Seriously

AUD$20. This is a new single vineyard wine made from early harvested Grenache grapes grown in the North Western district of the Barossa Valley. Youthful, dense aromatics, dried cranberry, cherry cordial, strong sense of anise in the alcohol vapours. Medium+ – intense ruby colour with a purple edge. A medium bodied wine with med+ acidity. It has a coarseness from the rough tannins which are persistent. 14.2% alc. Flavours of dark cherry, berry compote, hint of spice. Quite a good length for a finish. Drink to mid-2015.  88/100.
