Cakes Literally, Singapore

I’m going to start 2014 with a quick shout-out to a small bakery cafe in Singapore. It’s actually run by my cousin Carissa Choh whom I’ve probably not seen since she was 3. So that’s my conflict of interest declared. I had a swivel of her Valrhona dark chocolate brownie by way of my uncle, and had with a generous serve of double cream and vanilla ice cream, great stuff for a Sunday arvo snack.

Unfortunately, I have no pics to post as the brownie disappeared all to quickly (that’s just something my cousins and I do too well at family gatherings). Thankfully, other blogs have displayed the patience to cover the cafe (The Chosen Glutton, and The Yummy Yak), including pretty pictures of the interior sans honey badger traffic.

Check out Cakes Literally (facebook) which is located at 138 Owen Road (near Serangoon Rd, Farrer Park MRT). A tasty morsel brings no tears to parting of a pretty penny.
