Littorai Les Larmes Anderson Valley 2012, Mendocino, CA, USA

Littorai Les Larmes 2012 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley Mendocino California USA Simple Palates Seriously

AUD$60 from PWS. This is the entry level Littorai Pinot Noir produced from fruit off 4 parcels from a single vineyard. The crush spent 18 days in open top fermenters, worked by native yeasts, before 11 months maturing in 10% new French oak barrels. A medium+ ruby colour, it has an attractive floral nose with strawberry scents, aromas of red berries, forest brush, and spice. Rich, plush fruit flavours balanced against a softer acidity which is in ample abundance, tannins are just slightly grippy to offer a firmer finish. Persistent fruit flavours through to the finish. Drink now – 2015. 92/100.
