$20 from Vintage Cellars (Albert Park). Clear pale yellow colour. Youthful crisp aromas of apple, jasmine and peach. Lovely fine mousse texture, good acidity to balance the soft flavours of peach and apple. 11% alc. A great easy drinking prosecco for this price point. Great with roast chicken and cucumber sandwiches. 88/100.
A tasting with the Italian Chamber of Commerce last week convinced me that you don’t have to splurge to get high quality Prosecco. Heading into summer, I highly recommend checking out the Italian Prosecco as an alternative to champagnes. You’ll be able to find a multitude of labels, easily under $40.
