Nino Franco by Hawk Wakawaka Wine Reviews

Wakawaka Wine Reviews recently published a great piece on Nino Franco Proseccos. This is one label that I’ve never seen in Melbourne, which is a great shame really. I remember this label making for lovely summer drinking in London.

Touring the Prosecco DOCG, Valdobbiadene, with Nino Franco | Hawk Wakawaka Wine Reviews. (If you don’t already know of this website, check it out! It’s fun reading, lots of sharp photos, and I especially love the illustrations!)

Prosecco tends to be what you’d turn to if you didn’t want to spend too much at a restaurant. I think there’s some cheap bland stuff out there, but astute shopping will deliver you a bottle of bubbles which is just as fun as champagne.

Jane Faulkner did a write-up on Prosecco for the SMH this time last year. http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/restaurants-and-bars/why-prosecco-is-charming-the-world-20121001-26uzd.html

And if my lateral humour may be permitted, here are hand-painted Fozzie bear wine glasses!! http://www.etsy.com/listing/129983384/muppets-animal-and-fozzie-bear-wine
