Infusion Wines Basket Range Vineyard Chateaubriand NV, Adelaide Hills, SA

2013-05-08 19.02.47-1

A timely message from Tom Munro reminded me of this ex-note which I hadn’t posted a couple of week after I had tasted the Juliette.

$25 from Cloudwine. The other wine in the non-vintage non-descript red duo from Tom Munro. I had previously indicated my approval of the Juliette, and this is her hubby Francois. Intense ruby colour with a purplish rim. Youthful nose of red currants, sour cherry, salted preserved plums and a hint of Beaujolais Nouveau. Dry, medium-bodied wine, med+ level of acidity, low-ish tannins for a red wine. Fruit forward flavours, clean, not muddled. Mouthfeel is well-weighted for a casual drink or with a meal. Drink now. 89/100.
