Smith Haut-Lafitte blanc 2007, Graves, Bordeaux

20121222_233335a

Pale lemon color, the oak is still hanging around but freshens up after 30mins. Waxy lamolin notes, caraway, crushed lime leaf and preserved honey lemon. A full-bodied white wine that exudes the striking characteristics of Semillon, with the Sauvignon Blanc residing in the background. Rich fleshy acidity, the 14% alc comes through clearly afront the ripe lemon rind and lime flavour. Aftertaste of crushed green herb and calcic minerality. Drink now -2015. 89/100.
