Morris Shiraz 2009, Rutherglen, VIC

$15 from Dan Murphy’s. Intense black ruby colour. There is toasty oak right off the bat with that typical dessicated coconut which blows off soon. Beyond that, there is blackcurrant, plum and sweet spice. Silky texture, this dry, med+ – full-bodied wine has fine grainy tannins and high acidity. Rich blackcurrant and black plum flavours, hint of dark chocolate on the finish. Have this with char-grilled lamb chops. Drink now. 87-88/100.
