Curious Goose, curiosity?

Tried Curious Goose this weekend after a positive word from friends. To put it plainly, very disappointed with their Big Brekky.

The place is nice, quiet and spacious. Coffee is good, and the muesli is good quality. However, for $19, the fried eggs were REALLY fried, the yolks completely cooked through and the edges hard and cruddy. The mushrooms were really tired and dry, ditto the bacon. The polenta had a nice coloured cripsy coat but with no juice to the rest of the breakfast, these were hard to swallow. The white bean braise was nice, but the chorizo was terrible. If anything, these were three thin slices of fatty sausage, dried out meat and leaking with oil.

Nice muesli available for purchase at the counter, and some cupcakes and gingerbread cookies. But I’m not likely to return.
