SC Pannell Tempranillo Touriga 2010, McLaren Vale, SA

Purchased from Prince Wine Store $21. Intense dark ruby colour. A youthful perfumed core of strawberry, blueberry, violets, mint flower buds and meaty grilled sausage. Dry, med+ to full-bodied wine of rough silk texture. Powerdery tannins with plenty of ripe sourish acidity. Savoury dark chocolate and blackberry flavours with a residual sensation of olive oil. An interesting blend of melding the darker properties of Touriga with the lighter aspects of tempranillo. An enjoyable blend, great value for money. Drink now, preferably as an accompaniment for cheesy pasta topped with truffle salsa. Drink now – 2015. 90/100.
