Fournier Urban Uco Tempranillo 2010, Mendoza, Argentina

Made by Bodegas Y Vinedos O Fournier from hand-picked grapes off vineyards grown in the Uco Valley at high altitude (1100m). Aged 3 months in French oak barrels. Intense pitch black purple colour, it has youthful aromas of blackberries and violets. Dry, full-bodied wine of silky texture, there is ripe cleansing acidity and powdery tannins. Rich dark berry fruit flavours for this forward wine that is a no brainer. There is an interesting hint of saltish minerality on the finish. One to enjoy young so drink now. 88+/100.

Purchased from Prince Wine Store $25.
