For those of you who like your beers, this probably wouldn’t come as a surprise. How about a cuppa before dropping the kids off at school eh?
What irks me about this article which to me was seemingly written to promote an event is the inclusion of negative comments by the Australian Drug Foundation policy director. He has said that organising such a Beer+Breakfast event is irresponsible since someone who drinks beer at breakfast is very likely to continue to drink through lunch. Well, in my books that would constitute a binge (which I’m not advocating) but I’m willing to bet that people who appreciate beers and the ones whom this event is being marketed to are the least likely to binge drink. I’m not denying the existence of such individuals, but still.. talk about a ‘the end of days is here’ approach. Then again, it’s probably the poor man’s job. And no, I’m not belittleing the wrecking effects of alcoholim either. Moderation people!
