Kalleske Pirathon Shiraz 2009, Barossa Valley, SA

$22 from Cloudwine. Intense black ruby colour. Lovely aromas of smoky blackcurrant, red plum, blueberry, hint of steely minerality and dried coconut shavings. Dry, full-bodied red wine, smooth velvet texture, lots of ripe fruit acids and 14.5% alc. Rich flavours of blackcurrant jam and plums, soft diffuse tannins. Long fruity finish. Good value for money. Drink now – 2016. 91/100.
