Head Old Vine Grenache 2010, Barossa Valley, SA

$35 from Cloudwine. Intense purple crimson colour with lovely aromas of fresh black cherry, cracked plum stones, dense fresh grass cutting and wafts of Vicks cherry menthol. Silky texture, full-bodied wine with fine chewy tannins. 14.5% alc. Rich cherry and dark berry flavours, hint of black raspberry liquorice. Easy plump finish. 100dz made. Drink now – 2011+. 91-92/100.
